Halloween

I think is a little funny that some years ago Halloween was something that we just saw on American movies, and nowadays is a festivity completely adopt by our country. In my case, I love the idea of seeing vampires, zombies and mummies walking by the street. This festivity is the perfect excuse for enjoy and being children for one night. And of course for watch horror movies, if you don't do it is not a real Halloween.

Even though I'm not a child, in this Halloween I'm gonna out to ask for candies. The reason of that is my daughter, of course I have to go with her, so I will spend tomorrow night walking by the streets. My daughter loves the idea of use a costume, and being awake all night long. Even more she decided what costume wants to wear, and her choice was “ Draculaura” a character of a cartoon called “ Monster high” a school where the students are wolves, vampires, ghosts.. and so on. To sum up,if my daughter shares her candies I will ended Halloween night with a big smile in my face at same that her.

Parque Forestal

If you're a little stress and tired of the fast pace of life that we live in, I know the best place for being relax and renew your energies; Parque Forestal, this is a big park located in the center of Santiago, and covers Barrio Lastarria area and the historic Centre of the city. There you can find places like: Bruna Palace, Ruben Dario Museum, Palacio Bellas Artes Museum Mercado Central and Estación Mapocho. In all these places you can find typical Chilean food ( in Mercado Central) or several cultural activities all the year ( at the Museum). Parque Forestal is the most traditional park in Santiago, and is lined by the Mapocho River. If you wanna go there you can do it by subway; there are three subway station that let you there: Bellas Artes, Baquedano and Puente Cal y Canto. About the prices you don't have to worry 'cause the park is totally free, but if you decide to go to the Museum you have to pay 600 Chilean pesos if you are an adult or 300 Chilean pesos if you're a student, which is very cheap. In short if you love nature and culture. Besides you love food and you are looking for a place that combines these those things, you have to visit Parque Forestal.
